    French 8 days movement by AD Mougin with Brocot escapement mantle clock mounted by J Loubatie clockmaker in Quimper during the 1900's. The 8 days movement with visible Brocot escapement and carnelian anchor, mercury pendulum, strikes the hours and half on a gong. The movement stands in bronze square case with beveled glasses. AD Mougin (1848-1928) clockmaker contender of Japy, associated with Brocot in 1870 works in Paris , rue de Turenne, and wins his second medal in the Exposition Universelle 1900 in Paris. 10" (25.5cm) height, 5 3/4" (14.5cm) width, 4 3/4" (12cm) depth, weight 7lb 9.34oz (3,440 kilograms). The movement is stamped and numbered on the back. The cylinders are blocked, the movement needs cleaning. The case is in good condition only a small chip on the beveled glass on each door as shown by the following pictures.
