    French pastoral framed ink drawing showing farm animals: cow, horse, sheep made by Jean Baptiste Huet (Paris 1745 – 1811). Signed and dated in lower front: " J B Huet l'An 9". Size of the drawing: 12 1/4" height by 11 1/8" width, for the frame: 21 7/8" height by 18 1/4" width. Good condition slighty dirty as presented on the following pictures.
Jean Baptiste Huet (Paris 1745-1811) son of NIcolas Huet l'Ancien, student of : Renou, Boucher, Dagomer and Leprince. Admited to the Academy in 1768, ehibits to the Salon from 1769 to 1902, he works to the Jouy,Gobelins and Beauvais tapestries manufactures.

For our French-speaking friends: Dessin à la plume et encre noire, étude pastorale, les animaux de la ferme en l'an 9/1801, par Jean Baptiste HUET (Paris 1745 – 1811). Bel état, légères salissures sur le papier. Dessin : hauteur 31 cm, largeur 28,8 cm; cadre: hauteur 55.5cm, largeur 46.5cm.
Fils du peintre animalier Nicolas Huet l'Ancien, il se forma chez plusieurs artistes: Renou, Boucher, Dagomer, et Leprince dont il devint l'élève favori. Agréé à l'Académie en 1768, il fut reçu académicien un an plus tard. Apprécié et sollicité par la société parisienne, ses œuvres furent présentées au Salon entre 1769 et 1802, ainsi qu'aux expositions de la place Dauphine en 1770 et 1772. Affecté aux Manufactures de Jouy, des Gobelins et de Beauvais, il put exprimer et adapter à cet emploi l'étendue de son talent. Un grand nombre de ses dessins furent reproduits par Demarteau, Lebas et Bonnet.
