    This oyster or shell plate has been made by the famous Elchinger manufacture during the 50's. Shaped with six scallop compartments for the oyster and one for the lemon the hand painting pattern show great color of yellow green and red on black background. Good condition it's not signed. 9"3/4 diameter.

Diamètre 25 cm. La renommée de cette manufacture est due à Léon Elchinger, céramiste de Soufflenheim, qui travaille à compter de 1893 dans la poterie familiale à Soufflenheim où on réalise de la céramique d'ornementation d'intérieur et de la céramique architecturale, dans les styles Art Nouveau et Art Déco puis dans l'art religieux statuaire, à compter de 1930.
