For our French-speaking friends Maurice Guiraud Rivière, peintre, dessinateur, sculpteur, né en 1881 à Toulouse, élève des Beaux Arts, expose au Salon des Artistes Français et au Salon des Humoristes, voyage en Afrique du Nord. Il est renommé dès 1920 entre autre pour la "Gloire de l'automobile" et ses "Femmes" aux colombes, aux boules... en matériaux divers. Il est référencé par E. Benezit, ADEC, Art Price...
Tiré d'un carnet de voyage de Guiraud Rivière, aquarelle orientaliste paysage d'un minaret vue de la terrasse du Palais Jamia à Fez Maroc en 1933. 31 cm par 21,6 cm. Signé et daté en haut à droite. A son retour d'Afrique, Air France lui commandera des affiches.
