Inkwell Blown Glass Engraved Brass Lid 19th Century

French inkwell in blown glass with pontil on the back and engraved brass lid made during the middle of the 19th century. It opens very well. 3 1/8" (8cm) height, 3 3/4" (9.5cm) diameter, weight 22.50oz (638 grams). Good condition no chips or scratches as shown by the following pictures.
