Study Symphony Roses Flower Louis Beraud 1890

Study for "The Symphony in Red and Gold" (item 22- June 19 2003 Christie's London Sold US 130,327) made by Louis Béraud artist during the 1890's .This study paint with the work method of Delacroix before made monumental fresco. Louis Béraud exhibits in Paris shows from 1873, he had the Gold Medal in World Fair in 1900. For the sidelights on history , the morning on August 21 1911 Louis Béraud realized the first that Vinci's Mona Lisa was stolen right off the wall of the Louvre (famous museum in Paris, France). It's signed on the right . 13" (33cm) by 16" (40.5cm). Good condition , the canvas needs to be re-framed as shown by the following pictures.

Bouquet de fleurs peint à l'huile sur toile par Louis Béraud, vers 1890, sur châssis. Cette étude pour "la Symphonie en rouge et or" est enlevée et libre, elle rappelle les esquisses que faisait le peintre Delacroix pour ses compositions monumentales. Béraud est un artiste français renommé, il participe aux principaux salons parisiens dès 1873, il sera médaillé de bronze à l'exposition universelle de 1900. Pour la petite histoire, le matin du 22 août 1911 L. Béraud, copiste au Louvre, s'aperçoit le premier de la disparition de Mona Lisa, la "Joconde" de Leonard de Vinci. Hauteur 33cm, largeur 40.5cm.
