French folk art pottery crowned Virgin Mary with Jesus Child made by St Jorioz near Annecy french Alps. She is signed on the bottom.8" (20.5cm) tall, 3 1/2" (9cm) diameter to the base, weight 1lb 10.98oz (765 grams). Perfect condition.

Vierge à l'Enfant Jésus, dite "Vierge d'Accouchée" en terre vernissée de Haute Savoie. Ce travail populaire a été réalisé dans l'atelier de Saint Jorioz, canton sud d'Annecy. Modelée et peinte à la main sur cru, elle n'est pas signée. Le propriétaire, grand collectionneur de céramique travaillait chez Henriot vers 1949, avant de s'installer à Annecy. Hauteur 35.5 cm, diamètre à la base 11.2 cm. Très bel état.
